Dear NPTimer:

Thank you so much for writing something for me (AO3: failsafe)!

My likes and dislikes are basically the same for every exchange, but I'll list them here.

Likes: Domesticity/slice of life/dealing with everyday issues and problems, character study, missing scenes, thoughtful alternate realities/what-if/canon-divergence AUs, UST/pre-relationship tension, action/adventure, traveling/vacation, hurt/comfort, partnerships, constructive confrontation with positive resolution (let them fight about something that needs to be addressed and then let them resolve any hurt feelings, that sort of thing), tasteful erotica if you like (kinky or vanilla), cuddling, pillow talk, realistic use of social media where applicable/appropriate, banter

Important dislikes: character bashing (even when a fic explores, for example, why Ship A is working but Ship B is not/did not, I don't want other-character from Ship B to be defamed unnecessarily), graphic depictions of rape/irresponsible narrative handling of rape, gratuitous violence (though any kind of violence is fine if it is contextually appropriate), bloodplay, breathplay, nihilism, hopeless endings (but sad ones are okay)

You can see my tumblr for more stuff about me, but only if you want.

Here are some specific prompting thoughts about each of my requests (you can ctrl+f for the fandom you matched on/are looking for!):

Captain America (Movies)

Request #1:
Characters: Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff

I would be very happy with either shipping-fic or with gen/friendship fic about them. I am really enthusiastic about both interpretations of this relationship.

I really enjoyed that it was suggested that they had social contact of some kind or another prior to The Winter Soldier, and I would love to see pre-movie elaboration on that. Anything that takes place in the time between Avengers and TWS might be fun!

A run-in on the search for Bucky, too, might be fun. I honestly have very little knowledge of the comics in this particular area, but I know that Bucky and Natasha have a pretty important relationship int hem that seems to have been foregone in adaptation. If you happen to be someone who enjoys that and would like to amalgamate the two, you absolutely may.

I also like Steve/Natasha/Sam as a team dynamic and/or an OT3, if that kind of thing interests you.

Request #2:
Any Character(s)

Just a note: I would prefer not to have explicitly romantic/shippy fic about Steve/Sharon or Steve/Bucky--that said, including relationships between them is A-OK!

I put in this extra request not only because of the above mention that I also like the notion of Steve/Sam/Natasha but because I would love to receive basically any character study fic or gen-relationship fic for any of the nominated characters.

Perhaps something about Natasha and Fury's relationship, how he seems to trust her so much and how it affects her when he doesn't.

Sharon's relationship with Peggy. Or anything. Anyone. I just want her to have a full presence and life.

You can also do any and all Steve/Peggy stuff or Peggy's relationships with others at literally any point in her life.

Steve/Sam on its own is also good. Gen or shippy, again. Part of their search for Bucky or some kind of domestic, social thing in the future. It strikes me, how lucky Steve was to meet Sam the morning he did.

I have also really enjoyed Maria Hill's character development after initially having an impression that I wouldn't like her, so I would enjoy maybe something about her between her two film appearances so far.

And I would really, really enjoy some Bucky hurt/comfort. I would especially appreciate it if it sensitively handled his rehabilitation. Steve (and others) being patient with him and trying to help him remember how to be human would be very satisfying.

It might also be fun to read a slice of life fic for Sam before he met Steve, working as a counselor at the VA and just doing something in general in a world where aliens attacked New York.

I'm really flexible about this--just anything that strikes your fancy about ANY of these characters with the couple of limits above.

Pretty Little Liars

Request #3:
Characters: Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery

I have been dying to read a thoughtful bit of fic about them. I have started to ship them a lot over time, but I also just have been really impressed upon occasional rewatches of earlier episode how little I took for granted their connection upon my first watch. I love that they both have similar skills but that their personalities manifest so differently, and I am actually in the process of finishing the most recent episodes and Spencer's voicemail that she was going to leave for Aria but then let erase when she ran out of time completely gutted me emotionally.

It doesn't have to be romantic (and if you prefer for it not to be, I am completely fine with exploration of either of them's canon romantic interests!), but I very much want something that involves their friendship and protecting each other. Something dangerous, something fun--both. Anything!

Hawkeye (Comics)

Request #4
Characters: Kate Bishop, Clint Barton

I should note that I am behind and at the time of writing this letter have not read past when Kate came to pick Lucky up to go on their trip to California. I plan to have caught up by the time this exchange happens, but just wanted to let any potential writer know!

That said, I have been dying to read something more about the fact that Kate and Clint's relationship is complicated and gray at the best they can do. I am open on the subject of whether or not it is shippy because I myself feel so conflicted and undecided. But give me something that doesn't necessarily draw punches about how Clint's a car crash and Kate is perfect. How they are breaking one another's strides and how they still have something deeply connected between them. I'd be really happy with something that talked about the age difference as the writer perceives not just in terms of taboo but in how it affects their relationship even though both of them maybe like to pretend it doesn't.

Chuck

Request #5
Characters: Chuck Bartowski, Sarah Walker, John Casey

Getting into Chuck has been relatively recent for me and so I am still watching S1. I don't want to put too much pressure on myself, but feel free to use references up through the conclusion of S2 to give you some wiggle room.

I absolutely love the three-person dynamic between the three of them and would love anything about it, honestly.

Chuck and Sarah both get POV scenes a lot, but we very rarely have gotten one from Casey so far. And yet, it's obvious to me that he has been growing to care not only about Chuck but about Sarah, too. He looks after them, and it really does seem genuinely heroic in a surprising way. Something from his POV about both or either of them that tracked his progression of caring for them would be really interesting.

Sarah's relationship with Bryce seems to me to be one where he really takes advantage of her affections for him while sort of twisting things so it seems like it's more reciprocal than it is. I am not going to judge whether he does that on purpose or not, but in Sarah's trusting other people she works with and cares for, more dealing with that kind of baggage carefully and in a way that helps her without just brushing it aside would warm my heart.

I love Chuck's relationship with his family, too. Anything about that would be fun and nice!

I am still a baby Chuck fan, but I really like it.

Torchwood

Request #6
Characters: Jack Harkness, Martha Jones

I was always disappointed that Martha did not actually come back to Torchwood after her guest appearance. I understand real world reasoning for why she did not, but I would have loved to get the opportunity to see her interact with Jack more. I really liked their bond formed through their shared devotion to the Doctor that doesn't seem to just revolve around a sense of rejection.

As mentioned in my dislikes, I don't like unrelentingly sad or hopeless endings, so there is a part of me that wants to look at a Torchwood story and see it as less deeply dark.

I do ship Jack/Martha if it's even possible that anyone else does, but I would also enjoy their being friends--even years later--happier than Torchwood generally affords people being. They can pay a cost, but sometimes I think Torchwood required costs that were too high.

Thank you so much for the fic and good luck!

Thank you for writing something for me! My likes and dislikes are sort of a form letter at this point, available on past letters for other exchanges, but I will include them here.

Likes: Domesticity/slice of life/dealing with everyday issues and problems, character study, thoughtful alternate realities/what-if/canon-divergence AUs, UST/pre-relationship tension, action/adventure, traveling/vacation, hurt/comfort, partnerships, constructive confrontation with positive resolution (let them fight about something that needs to be addressed and then let them resolve any hurt feelings, that sort of thing), tasteful erotica if you like (kinky or vanilla), cuddling, pillow talk, realistic use of social media where applicable/appropriate, banter

Specific prompts for characters/fandoms follow. Please take any prompts as simple guidelines. Write what inspires you. If you offered the character I'm going to trust you have something you probably want to write for them. If that doesn't quite mesh with precisely what you think I'm asking for, then please go after what you feel most comfortable writing.

Doctor Who

Lucy Saxon: I was extremely unsatisfied by her character's conclusion. It just felt like a sort of hand-wave, better-hurry-up-and-tie-off-this-loose-end thing more than anything that needed to happen at all. Basically, my perception of Lucy was that she was meant to be the Master's version of a companion. He was essentially showing the Doctor sort of "what he'd broken," by only giving him (the Master) the opportunity to show her the end of everything. As you can see up in my dislikes, I absolutely cannot stand things that feel nihilistic. Basically, I just want something to give Lucy an opportunity to see something beautiful and something meaningful.

With Lucy in particular, I don't mind the inclusion of some themes of abuse or an unhealthy relationship. I personally think that her relationship with the Master involved some mutual caring about one another, but then it's also clear that the Master eventually began to abuse her. If you want to deal with this in some way--either its aftermath or some kind of healing from it or even write during her relationship with the Master with the caveat that something gets better for her, I don't mind!

Or, it could be an alternative version of something that happens to her after she shoots him.

Just... something better than canon conclusion, please?

Chantho: ... Well, apparently I have a theme, oops. I just want something where Chantho perhaps survives? Either to be involved in the finale events of S3 in some way (since again I think she represents a sort of analog to companions in that the Master has some aspects of his personality that negatively reflect the Doctor's). Or maybe she just is somehow not-dead and finds some kind of silver lining at the end of the universe. Basically, she was just so happy and adorable and I want to see her given some kind of chance.

Also, if you like world-building, her species is given a few defining traits but not too many, so expanding upon that would be nice!

Jenny Flint: I think there might be some explanation sort of floating around about how Jenny became this awesome martial artist superhero who can pick locks at such a young age. But I guess just seeing that sort of interpreted by someone would be really fun! I also would love to see a human point of view on being in a relationship with someone like Vastra who is so different in terms of being a different species that doesn't just boil down to a kinky sex joke. There is the fact that Vastra also has a big age gap with her, and just seeing how Jenny feels being a Victorian young woman who is seemingly so ill-suited to her time but finds a niche anyway.

Being a detective with her wife? (I could even get into a sappy, plotless marriage story about Vastra and Jenny. Cultural customs they both wanted to include? Where? How? When did they get married? Or did they just decide they already were?) Dealing with Strax being an irritant? Somehow being towed along into the future with the Doctor and friend? Anything!

I also just have this thing about how we so rarely get to see noncomtemporaneous people travel with the Doctor. Almost all the companions who actually get to stay are from the 21st century, so. Jenny.

Life On Mars

Note: I haven't finished Ashes to Ashes but I'm aware of what the ending of that implies about this series. I personally don't tend to factor that into my headcanon, but if you want to for the sake of a story, I don't mind!

Annie Cartwright: Because Sam is the focal character of the story and the audience sees through his eyes, I am often left to wonder how Annie feels about befriending/falling in love with someone who seems so fundamentally out of water and askew to the entire world that you know. It doesn't have to focus on Sam/Annie as a shippy thing, though I certainly wouldn't mind if it did. But just... how does it affect her life? How does she feel about it?

Pre-canon or post-canon are good, too! Something about Annie being in school or something about what she decides to do after canon would be nice, also. (I do like Sam/Annie so I'd prefer not to have them "breaking up" or something, but it definitely doesn't have to focus solely on her relationship with Sam. Like I said, up to the author! I just want Annie's distinct point of view on something she deems important in her life.)

Skins (UK)

Katie Fitch: There are a lot of possibilities for Katie and I feel like that of all of them we know the least about where her life was going at the end of her generation's run. I have seen Skins:Fire and it is up to author's discretion as to whether or not to include that in consideration, regardless of when you set your fic.

I would love to have some further exploration of who Katie becomes as a young adult. If you're in the mood to write femslash, I also wouldn't mind a story about her aversion to Emily's orientation perhaps being some insecurity about her own?

May or may not be related to the above, but I also really liked the development of Katie and Effy's relationship towards the end of S4 and was sad that it didn't come up in Fire. It felt more logical to me that Katie and Effy would've ended up best friends (or something). Then they also would have suffered loss, I think, when they found out what happened to Freddy?

You absolutely don't have to include Effy, though. Just Katie setting out into her own life once they all disperse later and having some kind of experience of adulthood and figuring out what to do about it. Bonding with her sister. Missing her sister. Anything! I just really loved Katie--she grew up so much.

Clueless

Cher Horowitz: I love this movie more now that I'm an adult than I ever did as a teenager. I think that Cher is really fun as a character because she is shown to speak with common slang of her generation and with the verbal fry/dialect that might pigeon-hole her as vapid. But then, it's shown that even though she speaks this way, she does have an intuitive grasp of what is going on in the world and with people around her, especially once she is inspired to apply herself. I would love to see how this developed with time in her life--if it ever caused her further problems and how she might overcome them.

(I also think that Cher/Josh is really cute and so any content that included that would be much appreciated. Also, the taboo that she ended up with her step-brother coming up would be interesting since the movie really didn't address that?)

Thank you for writing a fic for me! Below I have given my usual list of likes and dislikes that are just general guidelines. I'm really flexible about pretty much everything, though. Following the general likes/dislikes, I will provide some fandom-specific prompts, but please write what you feel most inspired to do eve if it deviates entirely from my prompts. I will be most excited to see what you are most enthusiastic to offer rather than a prescriptive filling of a prompt. Be sure you have fun!

Unless otherwise noted, any of the nominated (or un-nominated) characters in a fandom making appearances in your fic based on my requested character(s) is fine with me and certainly encouraged if it contributes to your idea!

General likes: Domesticity within the context of the universes where characters exist, character study, thoughtful alternate realities/what-if/canon-divergence AUs, UST/pre-relationship tension, action/adventure, traveling/vacation, hurt/comfort, partnerships, constructive confrontation with positive resolution (let them fight about something that needs to be addressed and then let them resolve any hurt feelings, that sort of thing), exploration of superpowers were applicable (even if they are not the character's own), tasteful erotica if you like (kinky or vanilla), cuddling, pillow talk, realistic use of social media where applicable/appropriate, banter, polyamory (and any other orientation/relationship dynamic, just I wanted to include polyamory)

The Great Gatsby (2013)

Characters:
Nick Carraway
Jay Gatsby

I haven't read The Great Gatsby since high school, but this movie made me really excited about the presentation of the spirit of the story in a way that managed to both be a period piece and to relate the story to audiences of the present era. Because of this, if AUs are your thing, in this fandom I am okay with a modern AU if you can find a way to engage with the essences of the character(s) that way.

Note: While I have requested both Nick and Gatsby, if you want to be post-canon compliant, it is okay if Gatsby is not presently alive in your narrative, depending on what you try to do with it.

A few prompts:

1. In the film adaptation, the interpretation that Nick fell in love with Gatsby read really strongly to me. I would absolutely love a fic that related this in some way. My happy-optimistic prompt would be a post-film AU where Gatsby somehow survived and received Nick's phone call rather than Daisy's, perhaps both further shattering Gatsby's dreamworld and being the impetus of something new. The media circus could still be present but perhaps be centered around scandal that didn't involve Gatsby's murder. Fallout with his bootlegging partners? Anything you would want to do with Gatsby having survived and Nick continuing to be a part of his life in a capacity that is either one-sided love on Nick's part or develops into something more. It can be as plotty or character study-y as you want, so don't let the density of this request be intimidating. If you want to take something from this and prefer to make the connection Nick has to Gatsby be more purely platonic as is the traditional reading of said relationship, feel free!

2. A further character study about Nick after Gatsby's death would also be good if you prefer staying canon compliant!

3. If you have a strong Gatsby muse and would like to write about him post-film and would like to explore reversal, then maybe Nick didn't go to work that day and chose a different path and in some way sacrificed himself for Gatsby. How would Gatsby react to that emotionally or otherwise?

4. The above-mentioned modern!AU idea is also fine with me. I would prefer it, if you choose this, if you find a way to engage similar themes even if in a different setting--just enough to keep the spirit of the characters recognizable, but I trust you!

If Daisy or any other characters want to make an appearance in your story then that's fine with me!

Young Avengers

Characters:
Tommy Shepherd
Eli Bradley
Kate Bishop

Please note that I was very tempted to choose 'Any' but decided to make it a little more clear by requesting specific characters that I have a vested interest in the inner-workings of. However, while I would most prefer fics that center on any or all of the characters I chose, any of the characters who are in the series, especially those nominated but any of the others who might make appearance, are welcome, too!

Shipping preferences:
  • [OT3] Tommy/Kate/Eli
  • Tommy/Eli
  • Tommy/Kate
  • Billy/Teddy

However, if your shipping preferences go another direction that's fine with me. I am so somewhat interested in Tommy/David and Kate/Eli. Kate/Eli with the caveat that Tommy isn't emotionally left out in the cold/alone because in my opinion he really needs one or both of them (or David, or someone). Despite this babbling about Tommy's emotional welfare, please don't feel obligated to write about him. I am equally interested in the others.

Some prompts:

1. Some genfic set during the Volume 1 era would be great! (Cassie being alive, etc.) Genfic set during the Volume 2 era which either expands upon or moves beyond the pancakes would also be very nice. Kate having Tommy and/or Eli back around is optional or Tommy and/or Eli being the focal point of some gen fic at some point is great, too.

2. From the way Tommy referred to Eli's grandmother (Mrs. B) in #6 of the new run, it leads me to believe that perhaps Tommy and Eli have had some continued contact after Eli's leaving (and apparently returning) to New York. What were the circumstances of that and how does their dynamic stand now? What if they had been hanging around together more closely such that it affected a change on the outcome or circumstances of #6? (Any or all of these questions and shippy or gen is fine!)

3. Teddy and Tommy platonic/brother-in-law-like interaction! (Billy or others can come too if appropriate.) If this dealt with Teddy and Billy taking a break it would be interesting, but at any other point in canon (or in some alternate timeline of your choosing) is good, too.

4. I was really kind of alarmed by the fact that Kate didn't have any visible emotional response to finding out about Tommy's disappearance. Whether you ship them or not, they were friends and Kate actively cared about him even if she had ultimately chosen not to actually follow any sort of fancy regarding him. The Young Avengers were like a family. Some kind of elaboration upon this--an opportunity for her to react or some character study about why she doesn't or something along those lines would be quite satisfying to me.

5. Something about Eli in his capacity as a library worker at any point during canon. Eli finding out about someone or something masquerading around in his costume? Finding out about Tommy being missing? Deciding to do something about it the way only Eli can. Reasons Eli chooses not to do anything, again. Just anything about Eli, please.

Long list of prompts but if you have an entirely different idea (even one that focuses slightly less on these specific characters but which heavily involves them) then go for it!

Lilo & Stitch:

Character:
Stitch (Experiment 626)

I am actually startled that there is anyone in the world besides me who has considered the idea of Lilo & Stitch fic as a possibility and I'm excited! My favorite Disney movie ever, and I'd love to have some extra-canon stuff beyond the cartoon which didn't really ever touch upon what I would have liked for it to.

Please note: Stitch is one of the few characters I have ever preferred to not know anything about his sexual preferences. I tend to view him as an asexual creature as he is the only one of his species according to the movie. If he's not asexual I don't mind, I just do not want any Stitch porn, please and thank you.

I shipped David/Nani passionately the summer this came out so any shippy content with them is totally acceptable.

A couple of prompts:

1. Anything about Stitch adapting to Earth in his early stay, perhaps involving their visit to the continental US (to see Graceland and possibly some other things?). I love fish out of water stories, and even though Stitch is vastly intelligent, seeing him have to learn from experience with things is absolutely heartwarming and I am going to end this sentence before I keyboard smash emotionally.

2. With the above caveat about not wanting Stitch porn, given that he is technically the only member of his species and has those malleable legs and antennae and such, I have in the past considered whether or not Stitch really is a gendered or sexed creature. I and the film refer to him as a 'he' but is that just because he's blue and we associate blue with masculinity? Basically this comes down to "why would aliens use our gender binary?" which is a good question. If you want to do something kind of philosophical or self-searching about Stitch dealing with this kind of issue when faced with a highly gendered society and coming to understand the concept as he continues to live here, I think it could be really neat.

3. Stitch bonding with any of his family members (of course including Lilo)! I would be especially interested in his bonding with David since Stitch had the misconception that David was blaming him for everything falling apart at one point. Also David really bit off a lot more than he had bargained for with entering a relationship with a girl who not only has her little sister but several aliens in her family now. Basically just how the two of them deal with each other would be good. Or Stitch bonding in a positive way with his creator and feeling better about his existence in general in a more concrete way that holds up when he's being still at night and such. Or anything with any of his ohana.

Skins (UK)

Characters:
Effy Stonem
Tony Stonem

Anything post-Skins Fire is acceptable because I have seen it. However, if you prefer to only deal with the relevant actual-series of Skins for these characters then that's fine, too.

1. If post-Skins Fire, I would like to know where Tony was during all of this and if he finds out about what has happened in his sister's life. If he finds out while it is going on, does he show up to support her? How so? If he doesn't, does he see her after she has served time for her financial crimes?

2. How does Effy cope with what has happened to her post-Fire? I would like to know more about what is actually possibly behind that enigmatic smile.

3. Effy and Emily seeing each other again either after Skins Fire or in an AU where that didn't happen and just seeing each other as young adults. Could be shippy if you want but also just Emily no longer being a doormat and she and Effy doing something (I don't mind what) would be nice.

4. It's no big secret but perhaps a bit sensitive, so please do not feel obligated to do anything with it. However if you have a muse for it, I would love a Tony/Effy shippy fic. I would like for it to have a bit of a plot at least rather than just porn if you want to do it, but I just always thought their bond was a bit interesting and odd. While I am perfectly happy with an innocent and normal sibling relationship between them, given both their backgrounds I kind of wonder if it couldn't be interpreted as something altogether more complicated. What that might be, however, I leave up to you. (Please no non-con, as I might refer you back to my dislikes list.

5. What did Effy do when she found out the truth about what had happened to Freddie? (Can involve anyone or just Effy herself.)

--

Wreck It Ralph

Characters:
Vanellope von Schweetz
Wreck It Ralph

Please give me gen, friendly/family fic between Ralph and Vanellope. Shipping them is a bit much for me. However if you want to let Felix and Calhoun be present and shippy then that's fine if it pleases you.

1. Given that I assume videogame characters don't age without avatar redesign or it being a part of their game, what happens as Vanellope continues to mature in terms of her experience? If she's trapped being a child avatar forever but interacts with characters outside her game (after having not been able to for a long time), I wonder how this might affect her.

2. What if there was a game redesign later on and Vanellope and her fellow Sugar Rush characters were given more teenage avatars to appeal to a new demographic? How would she adapt to this? Would Ralph react to suddenly having an adorably exasperating teenager to deal with rather than an adorably exasperating little girl? If this happened might Vanellope have kind of mixed up memories while retaining the core of her character? If you want to go that route, Ralph helping her through that would be really sweet!

3. What happens if Ralph decides to make a more adult decision in his life now that he has found some success? What if he falls in love with someone, etc.? Some kind of life-stage change for Ralph and his trying to explain that to Vanellope or dealing with her response to it might be something really fun character-wise.

4. Just Vanellope and Ralph hanging out and doing something in another videogame or in the videogame-based domestic environments would be sweet. For example, what if Vanellope ends up in Tappers? Is she allowed there?
we_protect_each_other: "you're not entirely wrong" (Default)
Sorry for the delay but the letter is here now! (School/general real life exhaustion, many apologies.)

General likes: Domesticity within the context of the universes where characters exist, character study, thoughtful alternate realities/what-if/canon-divergence AUs, UST/pre-relationship tension, action/adventure, traveling/vacation, hurt/comfort, partnerships (that lack patronizing), constructive confrontation with positive resolution (let them fight about something that needs to be addressed and then let them resolve any hurt feelings, that sort of thing), exploration of superpowers were applicable (even if they are not the character's own), tasteful erotica if you like (kinky or vanilla), cuddling, pillow talk, realistic use of social media where applicable/appropriate, banter, polyamory (and any other orientation/relationship dynamic, just I wanted to include polyamory)

Important dislikes: character bashing (even when a fic explores, for example, why Ship A is working but Ship B is not/did not, I don't want other-character from Ship B to be defamed unnecessarily), characters being thanked for being patronizing, graphic depictions of rape/irresponsible narrative handling of rape, gratuitous violence (though any kind of violence is fine if it is contextually appropriate), bloodplay, breathplay, nihilism, hopeless endings (but sad ones are okay)

The above is my copy/pasted usual list of likes/dislikes. This is my first time doing a femslash-specific challenge that I recall, so here we go. I am okay with all stages of relationship (if it's established I'd like to understand the rationale/process that got them there at least enough not to feel lost unless it's stated that it's an AU where it was always like that for some reason) and all ratings!

Pretty Little Liars

Note: At the time of writing this Dear Author letter, I am early in S3 in my watching of PLL. However, you may assume that I have seen at least through the end of S3 by the time of fic posting as I imagine I will be caught up on Netflix by then. PLL is a new fandom for me.

Spencer Hastings/Aria Montgomery

I'd heard people talking about this pairing before and didn't really see it (perhaps due to my investment in canon ships for them), but then the 'Team Sparia' line happened and it just clicked into place for me that I could definitely get behind it, too. Spencer's protectiveness over Aria because she's 'tiny,' is adorable and while I initially viewed it from a platonic lens, I've been thinking lately about how that with the relationship discourse in the show that Spencer's being aware of Aria's physicality in that way before anyone else really mentions it much is actually one of the more attentive physical details that I can recall. That's just some babbling about their general relationship dynamic that I see, if you'd like to draw a prompt from that. I'm less certain about how Aria feels about Spencer but I really love their teamwork go-get-'em Scooby Doo sort of attitude.

As far as actual prompts go, I'd kind of like something where they had a Scooby-Doo-spooky-esque background where maybe they're doing the "one blanket" scenario which leads to bonding of a romantic sort, perhaps after sort of realizing that in their present circumstance all they have is each other to count on? Could be future fic or AU fic or whatever. However, if you don't like this prompt do not feel bad about not using it.

Another suggestion is something to do with Spencer's perfectionism with regard to school functions or academics and Aria's good-but-more-chill attitude to it--maybe something domestic that makes Spencer be relaxed and happy as a result of Aria being there?

Emily Fields/Spencer Hastings

At the beginning of the show, I noticed that even though all four of the girls seem to have close ties, it seemed that a lot of the time Aria and Hanna had a closer tie and that Spencer and Emily had a closer tie. As I've continued watching, I've noticed that's gotten mixed up a bit, but I wonder if their closeness could in some alternative version of events been something else. I kind of wonder if Spencer might be startled at any point in her life if things took a turn in this direction, as opposed to Ali's very deliberate manipulation of Emily's feelings. In a much more ideal world, I imagine that Spencer might have been the 'leader' of the girls if they had still somehow managed to meet without Ali's orchestration, so that might be a thread to pursue--an AU where Spencer was Emily's first crush and maybe a happy ending there?

Also I wouldn't be opposed to some college-aged fic with them maybe both dealing with loss and Emily helping usually-outwardly-stronger Spencer through it.

If you take either PLL prompt, remember to take with an extra grain of salt since I'm new to the fandom and just getting the characters firmly established in my mind! Do what feels right while avoiding my strong dislikes. Write what you most want to write.

Skins

Emily Fitch/Effy Stonem

Basically I just keep thinking about possible alternative courses of action after Effy realized Emily's struggle so fast after meeting her. Her line about Emily putting up with being Katie's doormat just really hit home with me and I really wished we had gotten to see more of Emily interacting with Effy. I just wonder what might have happened if circumstances had put them closer together and Effy had chosen to take a more proactive role there.

Something post-Skins: Fire (post-prison or during prison or AU or whatever) would also be okay with me if you want to include Emily and Naomi as a past relationship. However, if you want Naomily to be a past-relationship, it can also have been under different circumstances.

I also just really adore Emily and I hate it when she hurts.

Whatever you want to do!

Emily Fitch/Katie Fitch

Not gonna lie, just a little bit of a somewhat-guilty pleasure. I don't exactly want porn-without-plot and a fic about these two wouldn't have to have graphic sexual content at all if you didn't want it to. However, my thought was something along the lines of if maybe part of Katie's sense of possession and being disturbed by Emily's coming out had to do with them having an intimate sort of relationship that Katie didn't want to mentally confront from that angle, if that makes sense. "Experimentation" meaning something more, or something along those lines.

However, I am also very intrigued by non-generation/authority-line-crossing incest relationships working as actual relationships if someone wants to do that. I just see it as not-really-a-problem where there is no authority issue as long as everyone is being responsible?

It being unhealthy is interesting, too, though.

Katie Fitch/Effy Stonem

I would like to know what, if anything, happened between them after the end of S4. I felt that their development throughout S4 with regard to learning to get along with each other and, I think, really valuing one another. Katie's strong interest in making sure that Effy was okay in spite of their previous enmity when she saw her mental breakdown happening and Effy's earlier attempts to make peace and find out if Katie was okay made me feel like there was some really nice equalizing happening between them. I am a sucker for people who might be on the same 'side' (in fandoms were 'sides' are a thing) who are antagonistic on a 'team' coming to understand each other, and while that dynamic is not directly applicable to a more domestic drama like Skins, I sort of see the same principle still applying.

If you want to work with canon, maybe them actually dealing with what happened to Freddy (especially since Effy was just beginning to get better) might be in order. I was disappointed on a narrative level that Skins: Fire didn't even touch on the fact that she'd had a friend/loved one not only die before but that he'd been murdered. Either an effort to move on on their part after all is said and done about that or even some type of ill-thought-out investigation (depending on what you hold to have happened to the murderer guy when Cook was finished) might give a backdrop whereby the two girls could get more involved in the process of becoming closer the way I saw them doing. That's just an idea for some type of plotty thing.

But I also would be interested in something springing directly from the conversation Katie and Effy have about love--whether from canon or an AU where that happened in a different context. Katie's unease with her sister's sexual orientation may or may not factor into your story. That being handled tastefully in her developing an intimate relationship with Effy, no matter what the circumstances are, would be really great. Them calling each other out on bullshit but ultimately having constructive rather than destructive conflict with each other would make me starry-eyed.

Young Justice

Barbara Gordon/Cassie Sandsmark

I'm mostly just curious to see what someone would do with this, but if you are jonesing to write it, don't let my general lack of specific prompt make you think I don't want it. I basically just enjoyed their dynamic and Barbara's protectiveness of Cassie that seemed to be that of a secondary mentor to her. There were times when I found Barbara's dynamic with others a bit gratingly patronizing (even though I love her along with everyone else--it's just criticism rather than hateful criticism obviously) but with Cassie she was so patient and kind in a way that didn't carry through for me as much with others in the show. I like age-gap discussion and just wonder if maybe this type of relationship might actually add to the healthiness of it for someone like Barbara to be in a relationship given her attention to protecting and guiding her loved ones, for better or for worse.

And I'd just like to have a more careful, detailed look at Cassie! Anything you want to do here idea-wise is fine with me!

Artemis Crock/Zatanna Zatara

Episode tag from 'Secrets,' AU, post-Endgame, during the gap years, anything! Those provide some shorthand for the ideas I might have about them, but I just want them to be happy. Zatanna's powers are really cool and didn't get enough screentime in my opinion, so if you wanted to do a plotty fic (or erotic, if that floats your boat) that involved them, that'd be cool. Hurt/comfort if it's post-canon-Endgame would be A-okay with me, too. An extension of what happened that Halloween night when they were really young?

Also, I have no idea if anyone would be interested in this, but if you wanted to do a sort of thematic or actual crossover between this and Pretty Little Liars, I wouldn't object. No heart being set on this at all and I don't have a particular investment in it but it occurred to me that with the tone of Secrets that it might be interesting to introduce elements of both into each other if you were feeling that sort of thing.

Les Misérables

Cosette Fauchelevent/Éponine Thénardier

An AU from their childhoods, an AU of their adult lives, or anything else you can think of that would show how their being sort of foils to one another's existences and fates could translate into an actual relationship dynamic between the two. I'm not sure how to define this better but basically just bring the philosophical contrast down into an actual relationship, however you choose?

The Hunger Games

Clove/Glimmer

The idea of any kind of real intimacy existing between the Careers either before the Games, during them, or in an AU where the structure works differently fascinates me. The contrast between deadliness to one another and being allies always really viscerally disturbed me, so an exploration of that fascinates me. Also, the fact that Districts 1 and 2 were so contrasted to one another in spite of being the most significant Career Districts is also fascinating. Glimmer being posh, sexualized, and something of a Hunger Games doll by design as contrasted with Clove being a (in the movie) beautiful sort of Spartan girl is really interesting to me.

One AU idea I have very often played with based on the mythological relationships between sex and death is to have the horror of The Hunger Games be transferred into a sexual exploitation rather than murder-based enterprise. Just throwing that out there in case it would provide more space for you to work if you choose to do this without the literal death of your characters looming ahead. However, this is entirely just an aside.

Violence, even of an extreme nature, is obviously permissible with this category, but please try to keep your gore descriptions down to a reasonable restraint if they are necessary.

Katniss Everdeen/Foxface

Something from Foxface's perspective would be interesting for this but is absolutely not demanded. Something tragic and never quite realized would be acceptable, too. A thwarted alliance, an alternative ending, Foxface's ultimate victory but grief over Katniss, some other circumstance where they both survive but at a cost, anything like that. It could also be set during the time period of one of the other books, if you wish.

Anything you want to do is fine and it can also be from Katniss's POV if you prefer.

Thank you so much for writing for me! Remember above all to have fun and to write something you really feel good about writing without worrying about being too attentive to me.

Dear Prime Time Player,

AO3 user: failsafe

Thank you for writing something for me!

The following letter explains a few of my major likes and specific dislikes, as well as a few loose prompts where I could think of them. Please do not feel limited by the prompts! Go where the muses take you.

Marvel 616

Characters Requested: Clint Barton, Kate Bishop

I am familiar with most everything Kate has been in, including the new Hawkeye comic. I'm less well-versed in Clint's life, but I am vaguely familiar with most of it and have read the currently running Hawkeye series front-to-back several times (the issues that are out so far, at any rate).

I would be okay with fic about either of them, but I would be especially pleased with fic about both of them. Shipping them is also optional, but I do encourage it. If, however, you're not feeling/comfortable with that, that's cool. Them having an interesting, if odd friendship is also perfectly fine with me and I am actually completely fine with lack of canonization of them as any kind of romantic thing. However, I do like it being toyed with and the obvious slight age kink involved if you go that route.

If you want to do fic about either of them or fic about both of them but include a different ship, I am okay with all of their canon ships that I know about except I am not a huge fan of Clint/Jessica Drew. With Kate, I also ship her with Tommy Shepherd and/or (OT3 is an option) Eli Bradley pretty hard. I'm easy to please in that regard, but Clint/Kate fic would be nice. My favorite non-Kate ship for Clint is with Natasha, but again all is optional.

Feel free to let them (whoever you choose) go on a hijinks-y adventure.

Les Misérables

I have only seen the movie. And to be honest, I'm ever-so-slightly perplexed by the way this fandom operates, so this is actually the main reason I am putting this request here on the off-chance that someone decides to enlighten me. I have seen the movie/listened to the music enough times to have a fairly good grasp on the characters as they are presented even though I don't have any grounding in Victor Hugo's novel.

I suppose if I were to prompt you, I would suggest that I would like a reworking (in any setting--happier AU, as-sad-but-diverging-from-canon AU, modern AU [that makes some attempt to make sense], whatever) that allows me to see more of the relationship between Cosette and Eponine as seen in (you) the author's imagination. I could see this going in a femslash-y or sisterly direction, and I would be especially pleased with an exploration of complex polyamory, but beggars can't be choosers. Just be made aware that I enjoy polyamory and having it work between these three (or exploring its dysfunction) would be something I would think might be fun. Don't be limited by this, though.

* * *

Chronicles of Narnia

This section presented to you in convenient/obnoxious (depending upon perspective) bullet point form:

  • More familiar with the movies than the books, though I have read the books except for the last two, I believe. Either incarnation is fine, but I tend to see the movie characters in my head even when thinking about the books.
  • I am a Pevencest shipper. I enjoy the strange ambiguity that might develop because of the Golden Age of Narnia and their separation from the passage of ordinary time/their lack of ordinary sibling relations to one another for certain spans of time. If you are not interested in this, do not consider it necessary, though. More traditional/conventional interpretations of their relationship would be as enjoyable to me.
  • England or Narnia, I don't mind which.
  • I don't mind when this takes place.
  • A thematic idea for a prompt is the contrast between the "light" and "dark" in their personalities since they are the most juxtaposed of the two siblings in my opinion.
  • Some other tension might also be found in them being the younger King and Queen of Narnia?
  • I am really super flexible about this. I just want something where Lucy and Edmund interact if you choose this one.

* * *

Iron Man (movies)

I seriously don't have much pickiness about this at all. I just realized how much I underappreciated Natasha on my first couple of viewings of Iron Man 2. Boy, was I wrong. I would enjoy anything you can cook up, and if you're the type to want to incorporate comic canon into this somehow, you're welcome to though under absolutely no obligation.

I do like the Clint/Natasha thing they have going on in subtext a bit, so if you want to work with that go nuts. However, them just being friends/partners or Clint not being brought up is perfectly fine, too. I also like Tony/Pepper as a background thing and tend to see MCU Natasha and Tony as strained friends who realize one another's attractiveness on some level--not so much into shipping them. However, I am seriously flexible about this.

Any other references to anything in the MCU are perfectly welcome as I am familiar with the whole thing/love it quite a lot. Confining it just to the one movie/Iron Man movies, though, is also perfectly acceptable and to be expected since you signed up for Iron Man (movies) if you're picking this.

Dear rarewomen author,

Thank you so much for writing something for me! I hope that you find the following information about my likes and dislikes helpful, and I will also try to include some vague prompts to help you get started if you'd like. However, please do not consider these hard and fast prompts--let yourself be creatively free and do not feel pressured by them! I am pretty easy to please, so as long as you stay away from things I list that I absolutely hate (that I can't imagine many people would want to write anyway) we're good. Follow your muses.

- - -

General likes: slice of life/contextualized domesticity within the context of the characters' universe and life circumstances, action/adventure, traveling/vacation, hurt/comfort, partnerships (that lack patronizing), constructive confrontation with positive resolution (let them fight about something that needs to be addressed and then let them resolve any hurt feelings, that sort of thing), canon-divergent AUs/fix-it fics/what-if's, well-plotted more-complete AUs (where they are the same people in very different circumstances who have responded as such; like time-setting shifts or different superpowers or whatever the case may be), exploration of superpowers were applicable (even if they are not the character's own), tasteful erotica if you like (kinky or vanilla), cuddling, pillow talk, realistic use of social media where applicable/appropriate, banter, polyamory (and any other orientation/relationship dynamic, just I wanted to include polyamory)

Important dislikes: character bashing (even when a fic explores, for example, why Ship A is working but Ship B is not/did not, I don't want other-character from Ship B to be defamed unnecessarily), characters being thanked for being patronizing, graphic depictions of rape/irresponsible narrative handling of rape, gratuitous violence (though any kind of violence is fine if it is contextually appropriate), bloodplay, breathplay, scat/vomit, nihilism, hopeless endings (but sad ones are okay)

Marvel (Comics)

I have read all of the currently running Hawkeye issues to date, and I have read a lot of Young Avengers, including the first series and Children's Crusade and Young Avengers Presents in full. I am working on the rest. Kate Bishop is one of my favorite characters ever, and I absolutely adore Cassie and am heartbroken and need her to be okay. I would be content with fic about either of these characters, however.

If you do one about Kate and Cassie, I don't mind if it is femslash or platonic. I just want them to be happy and I would be completely content with some aspect of their being best friends (canon divergent or not) being explored. I find femslash between them adorable, but I don't hardcore ship it, so I mean it when I say I am completely cool with or without it.

If you choose to do het with either of them (also totally fine/actually my usual game!) I ship Cassie/Jonas, and these ships for Kate:

  • Kate Bishop/Tommy Shepherd
  • Kate Bishop/Clint Barton (also platonic is cool there too, but do ship it)
  • Kate Bishop/Tommy Shepherd/Eli Bradley (polyamory)
  • Kate Bishop/Tommy Shepherd/Clint Barton (polyamory)

If you choose to do Kate/Clint, I actually do kind of enjoy the age-difference kink there since I do see them as pretty power-balanced in their relationship. It would be especially interesting to see exploration of "the younger woman" enjoying that since if it is done, it is typically done from the perspective of "the older man" enjoying it.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ships for these characters I ship:

  • Peggy Carter/Steve Rogers
  • Peggy Carter/Howard Stark*
  • Pepper Potts/Tony Stark
  • Pepper Potts/Tony Stark/Steve Rogers**
  • Sif/Loki***
  • Sif/Loki/Thor****
  • Sif/Jane Foster/Thor*****

Alright, so I feel like a lot of these bear explanation for what I have in mind with them, so follow the little asterisk indicators if you like. However, gen about any of these characters and literally anyone else is fine, too. I'll actually give you a little bit to go on for each of the listed ships, but the ones with asterisks are the ones I had something slightly more specific in mind than what you might get from a cold read (though you are absolutely not bound to these thoughts).

Peggy/Steve

For Peggy/Steve, I would like either an AU exploring what might have happened if a) somehow the end of the film had gone very differently, b) they had discovered and awakened Steve much earlier, or c) Steve actually went through with getting up the nerve to contact her a la the deleted scenes from The Avengers film.

However, something involving how Peggy moves on with her life and continues to be awesome having loved and lost without any specific focus on the ship or Steve at all or with it, I would love to just have fic about Peggy being awesome.

Also, Peggy/Steve fic from within the movie/missing scenes is also welcomed.

Peggy/Howard

Alright, so I am aware that Howard Stark is a very problematic character, especially in the comics and to some lesser more-neglectful-less-abusive degree in the MCU. However, when I was first getting into the MCU, before I knew anything about the comics or had paid very attentive detail to the information we were given about Tony's parents in the Iron Man films, I had this strange little thought in my head that wouldn't go away. It still hasn't gone away, even though it has been thoroughly jossed and had been, honestly, before I even had it. Maybe it would be interesting to someone, though?

What if, after they lost Steve, Peggy and Howard found comfort in one another and developed a relationship? Whether or not this relationship led to Peggy happening to be Tony's mother, rather than Maria, or if it were explored how it was that Peggy opted not to become the future mother of Howard's children and to do something else with her life would be an interesting idea to explore, either way it went.

Pepper/Tony

I would just like to see a fic about Pepper having a semi-balanced relationship with even still-learning Tony. Pepper should be able to branch out and have Tony not be her entire life even if he is, by her choice, her full-time job. I guess all I would suggest for a prompt here is that while I ship it, I would like to see some exploration of balance and how it is achieved.

Pepper/Tony/Steve

I could see a whole bunch of variations on this theme, ranging from mutually-involved polyamory to Pepper/Tony + Steve (platonic). While I am a bit of a fan in the comics, I just don't particularly get on board with just-Tony/Steve in the MCU, but for some reason this doesn't make this go away for me. I like explorations of sustained, committed polyamory, but I also like people's romantic entanglements not existing in a vacuum. Even completely non-romantic, I'd like to see how Pepper relates to Steve (with or without Tony being anywhere on the radar) because I feel that she might be really compassionate to his circumstance being new to the 21st century and new to dealing with Tony's antics.

Also, with Pepper in general, it would be nice to see her having a healthy friendship with a female character. I don't really femslash-ship her with anyone, but I wouldn't be entirely opposed if something was sort of pre-femslash if you'd like to introduce my palette to new things.

Sif/Loki

In the Thor film, Sif was billed on the posters as the Goddess of War, and I guess I am just interested in an internal-mythology level on how that influenced her relationship with Loki's God of Mischief schtick. Their interaction in the Thor film interested me, and the fact that Sif was the one to address Frigga about the loss of Loki at the end makes me want some kind of elaboration on what their relationship at any point prior to the film was like--platonic, antagonist, romantic, etc.

Sif/Loki/Thor

Just to note, I don't mind the pseudo-incestuous connotation of Loki/Thor at all, in case you're wondering. As mentioned above, I would just like some elaboration on this relationship dynamic. As mentioned above, I like explorations of polyamory or the potential for it, but in this case unless it was AU I think it's fairly clear that this did not or could not work. Love triangle or mutual friendship between them, I would just like to see how it is that Sif deals with any feelings (of any kind) she has regarding their shared history either during the film or post/prior.

If you don't want to write any of the male characters as they are involved with Sif so directly, once again I would also enjoy fic about how it is that she came to be respected as a female in a society that apparently might have precluded her from her position for having been. A goddess of war in her capacity is just a really tantalizing and fascinating idea to me.

Sif/Jane/Thor

I did not request Jane specifically because I thought this prompt might be more interesting from Sif's POV. I am in no way an expert on their comics manifestations but there was something I read on a wiki once about how at one point Sif maybe saved Jane's life with some element of her essence, or something along those lines? I could refresh my memory and elaborate, but I think that is sufficient enough for an idea to prompt what I meant here. Some Sif/Jane bonding/friendship/femslash/mutual-support/anything would be interesting, and I'd like it if it happens from Sif's POV. Also, Thor and Sif's apparent mutual protectiveness of one another interests me on this level.

Push (2009)

Ship: Cassie Holmes/Nick Gant

I would like anything about Cassie, really. I ship her with Nick. I always sort of fancied that Kira actually was more what was presented to her by the other Pusher, actually, and I sort of felt that Nick was headed for trouble in that regard. I would enjoy anything about Cassie coming more into her own and being better able to express herself as the woman she already is in many respects on the inside.

Thank you for your patience with the length of this letter!

Dear Purimgifts Author,

I am not sure what an appropriate holiday greeting for Purim would be, but I wish you well during this time that a very fascinating and strong lady is remembered. I am new to this exchange and am excited to participate and hope that my list of fandoms gives you something to work with! Below I'm just going to list some vague things I had in mind that run with the theme of the exchange and my primary ships, if relevant. That said, do not feel bound by these and feel free to go wherever your creative whimsy carries you within the bounds of the challenge. For example, some of my ships I'll mention are het, but I don't even necessarily want fic regarding their relationship, and given the challenge's theme, if you deal with it I obviously want the female in question to be at the center if you do decide to go there.

Some general things I like first: character study/personal introspection; domestic life within the context of fandom universes; family bonding (even if and perhaps especially if they are families of choice); gen and romance are equally acceptable; hopeful endings even if happy ones are not necessary

Visually, I prefer warm colors, generally, but I have nothing against any particular color, so for visual offerings anything is fine.

Things I don't like: character bashing; gratuitous violence (but if the violence is justified I am fine with it); general nihilism

Young Avengers: Kate Bishop is my Queen, but there are no female characters in it that I don't like. My primary OTP is Tommy/Kate. Given that Billy is Jewish and therefore qualifies, I would also be pleased with anything about Billy Kaplan, and obviously, Billy/Teddy is also pleasing to me. If you're feeling writing about girls-only, Kate and Cassie bonding makes me feel warm and fuzzy--best friends or femslash are both good. I have read the first issue of the new series, so going in that direction with America or something is cool, too. I just don't know much about her yet.

Old Testament/Tanakh: I put this here in case someone wanted to give me something about the lovely lady this holiday is about, Esther. You can do anything you like with this category, again, though. I am not easily-offended and trust anyone who is participating in this challenge to be appropriately respectful.

Merlin: I figured this fandom was as good as any for falling under the odd category of 'persecuted by an evil vizier for what they are rather than who they are' thing for the magic users. I have not seen the final series yet, but I know most of what occurs. I am exceedingly lax about what I ship in this fandom, so go crazy in that regard. I love Morgana and Gwen, or Merlin, too, if you wanted to go just based on the 'persecuted' category. I would really like something that handled Morgana's essentially being right about things better than the writers really dared to from my understanding. But seriously, this is sort of a legacy fandom to me and I'm really easy to please.

The Hunger Games: The things I ship are Katniss/Peeta, Clove/Cato, Finnick/Annie, Katniss/Peeta/Gale. I could be persuaded about some other things but don't particularly like Katniss/Gale on its own except as friendship. I would love to have some sweet sisterly things with either Katniss and Prim or Katniss and Rue. Something about Johanna would also be acceptable but I don't really have a shipping opinion for her. Something about Katniss and Johanna's friendship after Mockinjgay would be nice. Sadness is kind of unavoidable in this fandom, so that's also fine. I prefer hopeful/happy endings but especially here they're not really expressly necessary. I just like emotionally honest character exploration.

The Avengers: I'm primarily into the films, but I've been dipping my toes into comic canon. I really like the film interpretation of Natasha Romanoff (Romanova) and I adore Pepper Potts in the MCU. With regard to the comics, Wanda Maximoff is my favorite lady among the Avengers and she is also Jewish by birth on her father's side. Seriously, anything about the Maximoff family unit pleases me. Vague shipping inclinations are Natasha/Clint, Tony/Pepper, Wanda Maximoff/Steve Rogers, but again it's not necessary that any of these things be touched upon.

MCU: See above.

X-Men: First Class: Erik character study is always fascinating, as is his relationship with Charles--the ways in which they understand one another better than anyone and the ways in which they don't. I also love Moira in the film as a female character, so if you wanted to do something about her (because it's so rare) or Raven/Mystique I would also be happy. (OTP is Charles/Erik, but I'm okay with Moira being involved in any way you want there. I'm not a big fan of Raven/Erik as a romantic pairing but I love their dynamic/relationship being explored as well as Raven's relationship to Charles as a sister.)

Have fun! I hope my lists there helped you narrow down rather than constricted you. I am easily pleased, even if you make me cry.

Happy writing/graphic-making!
we_protect_each_other: "you're not entirely wrong" (final interview everlark)
Dear Prime Time Player,

Thanks for writing something for me!

I've tried to be specific enough in my individual prompts for each fandom, but I figured I'd write one of these to clarify a few things and thank you.

I think I'm fairly flexible as to what I like and if you feel artistic license leading you someplace then I'd love to see where you go with it, so don't feel restricted by this somehow. That said, here are things I really like and things I don't like:

Likes

  • Character Study
  • Alternate Reality/What-If's
  • UST/Pre-relationship tension
  • Domestic fic as-flavored by a particular fandom-verse

Dislikes

  • Forced romantic relationships
  • Tragedy devoid of hope
  • Character-bashing

I like long-fic, short-fic, anything! Have fun with whatever you choose to do.

~Bethany
