Dear Hurt/Comfort Exchange Author:
Hello! I hope this letter finds you well. Thank you for writing something for me. My name on AO3 is
Prix, and my primarily dreamwidth is at
prixmium. At this point, this one is my dear author letter repository. I chose this URL many years ago because of a line in The Hunger Games that applies not only to Katniss and Peeta but to a lot of character dynamics and relationships I like.
As usual, optional details are optional, and if you have a fic you just really want to write, please give me that instead of worrying about meeting some specialized criteria based on all these tags. My DNWs are in each prompt box on AO3. However, if you'd like to learn more about my preferences and find prompts for each fandom, keep reading!
Medium.
I have requested fanfic, but if you are interested in creating fanart based on one of my prompts, I welcome that as a treat!
Rating.
Any rating is welcome unless noted for a specific fandom. I enjoy Gen and PG fics, shippy or not, as much as I enjoy Explicit fics. If you do sexier fic, you are free to give me details, fade-to-black, or anything in-between. Just abide by my DNWs, please and thank.
DNWs.
I'm trying something new here. Sometimes I feel a little silly for some of the things I put here, and there are some elements to stories that seem so opt-in that I still don't list them here. That said, this time I've divided the DNWs into non-sexual and sexual sections because I hardly ever receive explicit fic based on my prompts, so I figure this will help people not interested in writing sex at all skim right over anything about it and let those who might want to write it actually find what they're concerned about.
General/Non-sexual.
- extreme or gratuitous torture or gore
- graphic descriptions of open surgery
- unrequested AU except canon-divergence
- use some wiggle-room with the above point if needed, but I especially do not want: no-powers, mundane, modern, setting change, de-aging, or school-related AUs unless I ask for it in a prompt
- unrequested pronoun changes from canon
- if you include the break-up of a canon couple as a part of your story, please do not bash the non-central ex
- character-bashing in general, though unredeemed villains can be treated like villains, of course
Sexuality-related.
- permanent injury related to sexual activity (unintentional or markings such as brands, scars, etc.)
- breathplay
- hardcore or lifestyle BDSM / D/s
- noncon
- unrequested dubcon
- underage content with a rating higher than "T" or "PG-13"
- sexual contact with wounds
- spitting as an act of sexual dominance (typical uses of saliva otherwise are whatever)
- semen or anything similar in eyes
- A/B/O
- m!preg (unless transman pregnant for whatever reason; basically no biologically-impossible surprise pregnancies)
Likes.
As above, trying some loose categorization of these this time.
Named TVtropes stuff.
- Big Damn Heroes
- The Cavalry
- Ragtag Bunch of Misfits
Plot and Theme.
- monster-of-the-week/case fic
- character study
- canon-typical violence
- canon-divergent AUs
- missing scenes
- survival (zombie, wilderness, apocalypse, etc.)
- political machinations
- morality exploration
- world-building with character involvement
- tying up loose ends
- ideological battles
- daring rescue
- redemption / atonement
- forgiveness
- earn your happy ending
- defeating/killing oppressors/abusers
- rebuilding from the ashes
- aftermath
Relationship-Related (up to PG-13).
- found family/family of choice
- unresolved sexual tension (UST)
- "I had no one else to _____."
- trust and loyalty
- power imbalance (addressing, not addressing, overcoming, confronting, etc.)
- accidental marriage
- arranged/political marriage
- competence affected by relationship (for better or worse)
- compromising mission/duty for love
- choosing love over mission/duty
- enemies (to friends) to lovers
- us against the world
- awkward flirting
- accidental/impulsive love confession
- non-sexual physical intimacy
- sexually-charged physical intimacy that (for [x] reason) does not reach full realization
Sexy fic.
First and foremost, I want fic that feels in-character. I want any kinks included to be something that the characters in question want to do (bearing in mind DNWs). Vanilla sex is fine! Or kinks that are poorly-veiled coping mechanisms can show up. The amount of negotiation or how well it goes can vary depending on the characters, the point in their relationship, and any other factor that would impact them. It can be their first time together or at all. It can be established-relationship sex. It can be planned or spontaneous. It can be awkward or smooth and sensual or anything in-between.
Even if your fic is primarily about the sexy part, I would like a smattering of context. More than anything, I want it to feel like it happens between people, not ad-lib erotica.
Below are the fandom-specific prompts. They are in the order I thought to sign up for them. I have two fandom requests for one fandom, but that's mostly because I have never asked for it before. I'm very excited to receive fic for any of the things I have requested!
I've decided not to address each free-form tag, though I will list them. You can use those as prompts however you like, and I may write prompts that sort of use them as a springboard, but I would have to write a book to address every tag I picked. You are also welcome to take inspiration from tags we didn't match on if you see fit as long as it doesn't contradict a DNW.
This is the one that I have never requested before. I honestly forgot it existed after watching my best friend play it shortly after it came out. Then serendipity reminded me of it and I saw it was in the tagset. There are two requests for this because originally I thought I might do prompt-specific freeforms but then just decided to trust you, but then I couldn't whittle down my freeform choices.
For Hank/Connor, I would like either post-canon or canon-divergent fic. Pre-romantic-relationship, confession-time, first-time, or a new-ish established relationship would all be good.
Fandom-Specific DNWs: reverse!AU; Machine Connor Ending
Hank Anderson/Connor (hurt Hank)
Prompt #1: Hank continues to struggle with his alcoholism, and Connor helps him confront the issue even if he can't fully understand it. Weaning off, withdrawals, intentionally choosing to stay clean when things remind Hank of bad shit.
Prompt #2: When Hank starts to realize he is attracted to Connor, he feels guilty about it. This could be because of insecurities about his being middle-aged and a general wreck of a person, internalized homophobia (though I imagine it would be mild given his reaction to the Tracis who were in love 0- surprise and dissonance?), Connor's apparent youth and the optics of it, a sense of power imbalance, wondering if Connor relates at all or if it would be using Connor's programmed-instinct to accommodate him against him, or any combination thereof. Fic could resolve this through Connor's discernible reciprocation of attraction if you want to include comfort/resolution.
Prompt #3: Hank is physically injured or sick and maybe suffers even more under Connor's attempts to comfort him. After all, Connor wasn't made to perform caregiving or household chores. Could be played for laughs or to show a more serious growth of understanding and intimacy between them.
Hank Anderson/Connor (Hurt Connor)
Prompt #1: Connor is damaged after realizing he is deviant. Hank refuses to let Connor shut down and seeks out help to get him repaired. Does Connor think this is extravagance? Is he grateful, scared, etc.? If it's canon-divergent then how does this happen in the first place? If it's post-canon, how does Connor feel if the other androids don't trust Hank very much while Connor is hurt and vulnerable and wants his partner [of whatever kind at this point in your story] near him?
Prompt #2: Connor's positive feelings toward Hank have intensified and specialized over time. He has no frame of reference for how to approach acting on it even if he understands, in theory, what people do in this situation. He must summon his courage to broach the topic, and he and Hank work through it in one way or another. This could be literally a first-time acknowledging there are any kind of feelings story, the other kind of first-time story, or anything in-between.
Prompt #3: Hank is the one who is sick or injured. He's unhappy-to-miserable but is going to be fine. Connor is the one who needs comforting, because he isn't well-equipped to handle the situation and is frustrated and scared by the sense of powerlessness. Can be sweet and fluffy or even get into reassurances about the fact that Hank is gonna die someday but not anytime soon (a reversal from Hank's suicidal tendencies in canon).
Remember, you're not bound by prompts and can go with anything you like!

I have recently become obsessed with this game again. I actually play very few videogames, but this is one that is just incomplete enough that it turns my wheels every time I think about it. Some of the freeform tags were more aimed at certain relationship tags than others, but I will leave it up to your creativity if the unexpected happens. I've tried not to rig it too much.
(Male or Female) Courier & Craig Boone (hurt Boone)
Since Boone is the first companion you can get if you play the storyline through as suggested in FNV, I am just really attached to the idea of being able to help Boone find a purpose and will to live again. So that's what I would like for the Courier & Boone.
Prompt #1: Boone attempts some almost-guaranteed suicide mission, but the Courier intervenes. If they're far enough along in their friendship, maybe Boone understands the intent and is begrudgingly grateful. Or maybe he's mad as hell but eventually comes around to the idea that dying isn't the only option for him.
Prompt #2: Boone is physically harmed somehow pretty early when the Courier and he are traveling together. He is bitter, especially because he wasn't hurt fighting legionaries. The Courier won't just leave him the hell alone and brings him into New Vegas or something to get him help.
Prompt #3: The Courier is captured by the Legion. Boone is attached enough to feel personally slighted by it, like fate or karma or God or whatever have come calling again. He intends to avenge the Courier and do death by legionaries himself, but he finds the Courier alive and rescues him or her.
- - -
For Arcade/Courier, I guess I can see either a slow burn where Arcade tries to avoid catching feelings or falling into bed with the Courier because he is used to his efforts with lovers ending rather sadly. And he doesn't want to make it awkward. Alternatively, they could hook up early because of intense chemistry, and Arcade thinks this means they're doomed, but maybe they aren't after all.
Male Courier/Arcade Gannon (hurt Arcade)
Prompt #1: Arcade is physically hurt. The Courier doesn't know that much about medicine except using quick-fix drugs and has to learn from an endangered Arcade how to save him in real-time.
Prompt #2: Arcade is physically hurt and the Courier surprises him with how much he has been paying attention when Arcade helps him or others with medical assistance.
Prompt #3: Arcade has started to travel with the Courier. At some point they've slept together or come close to it. Arcade is so accustomed to things not working out when he catches feelings that he is sort of depressed and sees no point in not shooting it down before it starts. The Courier proves him wrong.
Male Courier/Arcade Gannon (hurt Courier)
Prompt #1: The Courier gets a very stupid injury. Arcade helps and comforts but not without some attitude about it.
Prompt #2: Arcade and the Courier go to meet with the Legion's leadership and things go south. The Courier protects Arcade and gets hurt. The aftermath or when it actually happens and it seems like they might not make it out alive?
Prompt #3: One of my above-mentioned visions of how Arcade and a male Courier might end up together is through an impulsive if not entirely casual hook-up that eventually grows into something more. I would really enjoy reading a fic about how that transition happens.
Male Courier/Arcade Gannon (both hurt)
Prompt #1: Both end up in the early process becoming slaves for the Legion. Whether they have bonded before this or only during the process of hatching an escape plan is up to you. They fall in love and/or reunite bathed in the blood of slavers and rapists. (Please no depictions of them being raped, though the threat of it isn't forbidden. The Legion is evil, after all.)
Prompt #2: Really stupid hurt has happened. They argue and banter about whose fault it is. Bonding ensues.
Prompt #3: The Courier is a Guile Hero-type and does a fake-out of betraying Arcade and selling him to the Legion. He has no intention of letting this stick, but Arcade was not sufficiently in the know OR was but the plan goes very wrong. Both make it out alive but not unscathed.

Courier/Benny was something that occurred to me through perverse fascination with the discovery of the Black Widow options for the Courier with him. I love redemption and earn-forgiveness stories as well as enemies-to-lovers, so that's the kind of vibe I am hoping for here.
Female Courier/Benny (hurt Benny) or Female Courier/Benny (both hurt)
Prompt #1: The Courier tries to kill Benny but for some reason decides not to go through with it. They gradually learn to trust each other through some ordeal which follows. Perhaps the Courier is even holding Benny hostage because she can't decide what to do with him?
Prompt #2: After finding Benny in New Vegas, the Courier either takes the Black Widow or the other nonviolent resolution option. Benny makes promises but promptly leaves for Fortification Hill. The Courier either immediately or some time after goes there for her own reasons, finds Benny captured, and decides he isn't deserving of that fate.
Prompt #3: The Courier rescues Benny from the Legion but does it through pretending to play along with some of the Legion's demands. Only, instead of a knife-fight to the death, maybe either through the Courier or Caesar's design, it turns into a Fuck or Die or apparent-Fuck or Die situation for both of them. Whether they've had sex before or not is up to you.

I became interested in Arcade/Boone as a concept basically because I think there are a lot of ways they could bond after meeting through the Courier.
Craig Boone/Arcade Gannon (hurt Boone)
Prompt #1: The Courier, Arcade, and Boone are all traveling together. Boone is physically harmed, Arcade is their team medic, and it has been a long time since Boone trusted anyone to touch him. This show of kindness and necessity of trust breaks down some barriers for both of them.
Prompt #2: Arcade and Boone have somehow reached the threshold where something might develop between them, but Boone's PTSD and baggage about losing his wife crop up with a vengeance. Arcade is patient and helps him through it.
Prompt #3: Boone had no idea that Manny Vargas had feelings for him. In the interim, some chemistry has developed between himself and Arcade. They end up back in Novac, Manny realizes this, and is angry. Boone is still icy toward Manny for his canonical reasons, but Arcade at least helps him come to terms with why Manny was glad that it seemed like Carla had left him, even if he can't ever exactly be friends with Manny again. Overcoming internalized homophobia and/or simply realizing he is capable of being attracted to men/anyone but Carla could be part of it for Boone, too.
Craig Boone/Arcade Gannon (both hurt)
Prompt #1: Both Arcade and Boone are hurt. Arcade is injured in such a way that he has to talk Boone through helping both of them. Bonding ensues.
Prompt #2: Something of a romantic and/or sexual nature happens between them. Arcade assumes that it's fun or nice but won't last but is woefully unprepared for how much guilt and trauma and denial Boone starts spilling all over the place. It isn't convenient for them to just walk away from the situation and both of them have to deal with some of their shit.
Prompt #3: Trapped on the wrong side of the Legion line. Stuff happens.

I have requested a lot of nostalgic stuff for this fandom. I have mentioned in the box on AO3 that I have a couple of fandom-specific bones to pick. I love so much about Arrow but how they treated Earth 1 Laurel makes me seethe to this day. So, please, happy ending for her if she's mentioned. If you are doing one of the Oliver prompts, please no bashing of Felicity or Olicity. If you are doing one of the Laurel prompts and Oliver appears, Olicity is welcome to appear in the background but doesn't have to by any means. I don't want a ship-negative fic of any kind.
Laurel Lance & Team Arrow (hurt Laurel)
I will be angry about Laurel's death forever. Fix it in one way or another, please.
Prompt #1: Laurel's lethal injury gets fixed because this is comic book media or it just was almost fatal. She was a less-experienced superhero, but she wasn't incompetent. They help her heal and get back on her feet.
Prompt #2: Some members of Team Arrow (Sara could come and bring some LoT people if you want) experience Laurel's death but don't just act like there's nothing they can do about it when they clearly can in this universe. Lazarus Pit for Laurel too! Other magic! Time Travel! Stage Laurel rescue.
Prompt #3: In the Arrow series finale, fix the bullshit about how somehow Earth 2!Laurel being good now means that nobody even cares that Earth 1!Laurel was dead and that it was literally fixable. Right there.
- - -
Laurel Lance/Tommy Merlyn (hurt Tommy)
They were so capable of having a healthy, happy relationship in the end but never got the chance. Please give them a chance.
Prompt #1: Tommy survives his injuries in the Glades but is severely injured, possibly even somewhat disabled by it. Laurel gets to love him through it. Arrow stuff happens in the meantime. Maybe they're normies ever after, maybe they both become part of Team Arrow.
Prompt #2: Tommy and/or Laurel suffer their canonical fates. Tommy and/or Laurel (both) come back. Maybe there is some time travel stuff going on. Laurel gets to be exposed to the meta-causing radiation and gets her Earth 2 counterpart's superpowers, too. Black Canary-typical angst about how it's kind of dangerous and hard to control at first? And/or Tommy comes back from the dead, kind of sort of came back wrong and gets superpowers or becomes a superhero-via-being-a-badass similar to Oliver and Sara. If the latter, maybe Laurel is like "FFS this shit again," but loves Tommy anyway.
Prompt #3: The series finale nonsense about fixing Tommy's death but not changing Laurel's fate becomes justified because if Tommy was still alive, he would make damn sure that didn't stand one way or another. Does he demand help from superheroes he knows? Does he become a superhero? Does he fuck with powers he has no idea how to control or use? Demand a happy ever after.

Oliver/Slade and/or Oliver/Slade/Shado remains one of my favorite parts of this show. Slade's "fall" and "redemption" and how it was not clear cut as to who was at fault was great, as was allowing him to ultimately walk away with dignity. But I would love canon divergent AUs where this was more explored.
Oliver Queen/Slade Wilson (hurt Oliver)
Prompt #1: While Slade is teaching Oliver how to survive on the island, Oliver keeps getting hurt. Despite his frustrations, Slade starts to feel bad for him. (This can be a Shado-including prompt, too, if you like.)
Prompt #2: AU where Olicity isn't happening in S6 (but Felicity is happy somewhere and thriving off-screen) and Oliver and Slade's reunion is prolonged and leads to more. Oliver wants to get back to his son and keep his promises, but it's never that easy.
Prompt #3: For some reason, Slade and Oliver do some sex. Slade isn't the most emotionally sophisticated person outwardly, and Oliver has been a shit lover at times. Oliver gets hurt by getting an apparent taste of his own medicine in a different flavor. Slade ultimately gets a grip and comes around.
Oliver Queen/Slade Wilson (hurt Slade)
Prompt #1: Any of the post-mirakuru events in canon happen that you like up to a point, but Oliver is able to fix it before anyone leaves the island. Is this the result of a time loop? Is it because there's some kind of cure? Is it simply not choosing the terrified-way-out option?
Prompt #2: Shado's death happens the same way as in canon, but Slade doesn't go mad and/or end up blaming Oliver. They are able to grieve together. Slade feels tremendous guilt that he wasn't able to save both of them, but they find a way to avenge her (or even bring her back).
Prompt #3: Slade is physically hurt and isn't any good at receiving comfort. He isn't used to it, but Oliver insists. The necessity of insistence maybe even leads to more affection than would have otherwise been shown.
Oliver Queen/Shado/Slade Wilson (hurt Oliver)
Prompt #1: Season 2 of Arrow starts to happen, but Shado appearing to Oliver is actually some kind of time travel, spiritual materialization, or something that allows there to be a way to bring her back and allow her to help Oliver in his time of need. They can fix it together.
Prompt #2: Oliver gets hurt or sick on the island and is being a whiny baby about it. Luckily, he has both the tender touch of people who care about him and someone who will teach him to be stronger. Perhaps the sources of these approaches are not what would tend to be expected (i.e. Shado giving more tough love while Slade is nicer about whatever it is).
Prompt #3: Inversion of canon where Shado and Slade sort of fall in love first and Oliver is pining. Development of poly-relationship.
Freeforms: [Blank] to Lovers - Casual/Unromantic Sex Leads to Unwanted Feelings; Abandonment Issues; Wound Care precipitates Comfort Sex; Accidental arousal while cuddling for comfort; Wilderness Survival; Characters go undercover in a prison; extraction fails and it becomes a traumatic survival ordeal; Time looping X forced to watch loved one die repeatedly; loop is broken by loved one’s survival; Time Loop - Reliving Events in Order to Find a Happy Ending; Fix-It - Surviving near-death experience; Came back from dead the same but traumatized by having died + the circumstances of their death; Aftermath of Temporary Character Death; Aftermath of Violence; Aftermath of Unplanned Pregnancy; A and B mourn death of person they both loved; A and B risk safety/health to help C; Attempted Murder; attempted self-sacrifice is thwarted by people who do not agree character is expendable; Being Cared for by Their Unrequited Love Interest; Character A attempts suicide; character B finds & stops them in time & helps them recover; character a convincing character b that they're allowed to feel hurt/traumatised/angry/cry; Character A says hurtful things in anger and Character B takes them to heart; Character A Unwilling to Accept B's Death; Character believes comforter is taking care of them for practical or selfish reasons; Character believes no one is coming to save them; Character Believes They're an Unimportant Hookup; Character feels left out; Character who is clearly not fine insists they are fine; Characters A and B take care of hurt/ill Character C whom they both love; Comfort focusing on little hurt because the big hurt is massive and unapproachable; Comforter Rains Down Retribution On Hurt Character's Behalf; Injured Character Can't Complete Rescue Mission Without Help From Unlikely Source; Roaring Rampage of Rescue; Huddling For Warmth
I have chosen tags that could be used either for canon divergence or for maybe future-fic. I'd be happy with either! I guess one of my main frustrations is the fact that S1 of AOS spent so much time talking about how if you got to a person in time that they could be saved but then failed to do that with Ward at every turn. Even though I understood why Skye | Daisy allowed herself to become hardened and furious and mistrustful, the fact that she shot Ward in cold blood when he was just trying to help her in S2 was one of the most stomach-churning things I've ever seen. I'm not even absolving Ward of the way he was going about things at that point, but holy shit. So, like, fix stuff in canon or deal with it and move past it. Either way is good! Just put out the fire??? Oh, and you can chastise the Good Guy (TM) characters for their treatment of Ward but don't, like, make it impossible for other characters to redeem themselves in turn, I guess.
Skye | Daisy Johnson/Grant Ward (both hurt)
Prompt #1: The events at the end of S1 happen differently. Both get hurt in the Hydra-uprising, leading to a different kind of Ward-is-Hydra reveal. Skye is physically hurt, angry, and terrified but it allows her to get to him when he is vulnerable and help him start to turn. Uncertainty and mistrust totally understandable.
Prompt #2: Sometime after Skye | Daisy shoots Ward in S2, they are forced to rely on each other. There is a lot of mutual mistrust and resentment, but the must figure out how to live with each other again as the result of whatever happens.
Prompt #3: Canon-divergent AU where at some point Skye | Daisy stood up for Ward and vouched for him, but it really seems like he is going dark-side again, even though he is not or is being forced into it to avoid a greater evil.
Skye | Daisy Johnson/Grant Ward (hurt Ward)
Prompt #1: Daisy is in Coulson's place in the part where Ward dies-for-real. She almost kills him but finds she still can't go through with it. She takes him prisoner again or something instead. Aftermath.
Prompt #2: Sometime after the Framework season, Ward gets brought back to life. Daisy finds out about it with her new insight. He is messed up, maybe doesn't even want to be alive. She can help him now.
Prompt #3: Garrett has hurt and/or turned on Ward in a big way in S1 and Skye's big heart and willingness to forgive before the full Hydra uprising can get very far changes the world. (Example: maybe War gets shot instead of Skye for some reason. IDK go nuts.)
Freeforms: Character Hiding Abuse Because they Believe They Deserve It; Character Doesn't Understand Friendship or Familial Love because of Past Abuse; Comforter Murders Abuser of Hurt Character(s); Character A rescues Character B from abusive relationship; Character didn't want to be brought back to life; Character expected to die but didn't and has no idea how to live anymore. I like Steve/Peggy just fine but the ending of Endgame, for Steve, felt like an insulting erasure of his character development throughout the MCU, especially in the Captain America movies themselves. Therefore, I would like for any fic to not comply with that ultimately.
Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov (hurt Natasha) or Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov (hurt Steve)
At first, Steve doesn't really trust Natasha because she tends to be duplicitous and he doesn't get that. Then they grow to respect each other, but even if they are attracted to each other they run from it for the sake of being friends first and foremost. I really like that and even just love purely platonic Steve and Natasha, but I think they could be so good for each other.
I'm doing just three prompts for this one and you can choose whose hurt you focus on more or who is hurt and so on because I think they all work for either.
Prompt #1: I really don't like BruceNat in the MCU, but one of the only parts about it I like is how Natasha seems to realize how much she just needs to hang out with Steve instead, afterward. Also the way Steve sort of encourages Bruce in a way that strikes me with my shipper-eyes as bittersweet. I guess just something in the aftermath of the Hulk running to space after the mess that was AOU, Steve and Natasha have to have A Talk or something...?
Prompt #2: At some point in the midst of Avenger-ing one of them gets hurt. I'm assuming it's slightly more likely that Natasha could since she doesn't seem to have as MUCH alteration from the Red Room as Steve does from the Super Soldier Serum, but it can be from whatever kind of weapon that makes it make sense for either. The intimacy of caring for the other's wounds while they're alone leads to a break in sexual tension. (I'm assuming that afterward Steve has no idea how to handle it without being a bit ashamed, but you follow your gut.)
Prompt #3 Steve doesn't do the running away to grow old in the past thing at the end of Endgame. He (and Sam and/or Bucky if you want? Poly or friendship or whatever would all be welcome) cannot accept Natasha's death after all. They fix it. Clint can come, too, if you want. Natasha gets brought back and can't believe that anyone did after she thought her sacrifice was so necessary and/or unremarkable in the grand scheme of what was at stake.

General Preferences
Medium.
I have requested fanfic, but if you are interested in creating fanart based on one of my prompts, I welcome that as a treat!
Rating.
Any rating is welcome unless noted for a specific fandom. I enjoy Gen and PG fics, shippy or not, as much as I enjoy Explicit fics. If you do sexier fic, you are free to give me details, fade-to-black, or anything in-between. Just abide by my DNWs, please and thank.
DNWs.
I'm trying something new here. Sometimes I feel a little silly for some of the things I put here, and there are some elements to stories that seem so opt-in that I still don't list them here. That said, this time I've divided the DNWs into non-sexual and sexual sections because I hardly ever receive explicit fic based on my prompts, so I figure this will help people not interested in writing sex at all skim right over anything about it and let those who might want to write it actually find what they're concerned about.
General/Non-sexual.
- extreme or gratuitous torture or gore
- graphic descriptions of open surgery
- unrequested AU except canon-divergence
- use some wiggle-room with the above point if needed, but I especially do not want: no-powers, mundane, modern, setting change, de-aging, or school-related AUs unless I ask for it in a prompt
- unrequested pronoun changes from canon
- if you include the break-up of a canon couple as a part of your story, please do not bash the non-central ex
- character-bashing in general, though unredeemed villains can be treated like villains, of course
Sexuality-related.
- permanent injury related to sexual activity (unintentional or markings such as brands, scars, etc.)
- breathplay
- hardcore or lifestyle BDSM / D/s
- noncon
- unrequested dubcon
- underage content with a rating higher than "T" or "PG-13"
- sexual contact with wounds
- spitting as an act of sexual dominance (typical uses of saliva otherwise are whatever)
- semen or anything similar in eyes
- A/B/O
- m!preg (unless transman pregnant for whatever reason; basically no biologically-impossible surprise pregnancies)
Likes.
As above, trying some loose categorization of these this time.
Named TVtropes stuff.
- Big Damn Heroes
- The Cavalry
- Ragtag Bunch of Misfits
Plot and Theme.
- monster-of-the-week/case fic
- character study
- canon-typical violence
- canon-divergent AUs
- missing scenes
- survival (zombie, wilderness, apocalypse, etc.)
- political machinations
- morality exploration
- world-building with character involvement
- tying up loose ends
- ideological battles
- daring rescue
- redemption / atonement
- forgiveness
- earn your happy ending
- defeating/killing oppressors/abusers
- rebuilding from the ashes
- aftermath
Relationship-Related (up to PG-13).
- found family/family of choice
- unresolved sexual tension (UST)
- "I had no one else to _____."
- trust and loyalty
- power imbalance (addressing, not addressing, overcoming, confronting, etc.)
- accidental marriage
- arranged/political marriage
- competence affected by relationship (for better or worse)
- compromising mission/duty for love
- choosing love over mission/duty
- enemies (to friends) to lovers
- us against the world
- awkward flirting
- accidental/impulsive love confession
- non-sexual physical intimacy
- sexually-charged physical intimacy that (for [x] reason) does not reach full realization
Sexy fic.
First and foremost, I want fic that feels in-character. I want any kinks included to be something that the characters in question want to do (bearing in mind DNWs). Vanilla sex is fine! Or kinks that are poorly-veiled coping mechanisms can show up. The amount of negotiation or how well it goes can vary depending on the characters, the point in their relationship, and any other factor that would impact them. It can be their first time together or at all. It can be established-relationship sex. It can be planned or spontaneous. It can be awkward or smooth and sensual or anything in-between.
Even if your fic is primarily about the sexy part, I would like a smattering of context. More than anything, I want it to feel like it happens between people, not ad-lib erotica.
Fandom-Specific Prompts
Below are the fandom-specific prompts. They are in the order I thought to sign up for them. I have two fandom requests for one fandom, but that's mostly because I have never asked for it before. I'm very excited to receive fic for any of the things I have requested!
I've decided not to address each free-form tag, though I will list them. You can use those as prompts however you like, and I may write prompts that sort of use them as a springboard, but I would have to write a book to address every tag I picked. You are also welcome to take inspiration from tags we didn't match on if you see fit as long as it doesn't contradict a DNW.
Detroit: Become Human

Fallout: New Vegas

DC's Arrowverse [I asked for all OG Arrow stuff]

Agents of SHIELD
The Avengers (Marvel Movies) | MCU
