Thank you for writing something for me! If you came here hoping to do an art treat, that's welcome, too. Please take my prompts as guidelines. As long as my DNWs are respected to a reasonable degree, I'll be happy with anything. I have chosen things that I haven't read much fic about but would really like to.

I typically divide my letters into two main sections: preferences, which are general and apply to any fandom however you like, and prompts that try to deal with the specific fandoms and ships chosen. Please note that if a particular prompt seems to contradict a DNW to you, feel free to err toward the prompt and bend the DNW a little. For this exchange, also please note that I have chosen tags that interest me, but my typed-out prompts may not cover ideas for all of them. Above all, I just want you to have fun with whatever we matched on, so if you have an idea based on tags alone, my prompts are optional.

Preferences

Feel free to have any canonical unrequested characters appear in a supporting capacity either in passing or as an additional character in your story.

Please note that DNWs are not a value judgment on anyone else's preferences.

Also, I've chosen some "conflicting" ships, so even if you aren't here for both ships yourself, please pay special attention to the "no character bashing" thing for those.

NSFW

When it comes to NSFW fic, I like to prioritize what seems "in-character" for the story you're crafting over my particular preferences or kinks. I want to know about the characters' preferences, hang-ups, kinks, and so on. Unless you feel I wouldn't like it because of my DNWs, let the characters guide any NSFW content.

I do like fic about sex pollen/ritual/something-made-them-do-it but only if the characters have an underlying attraction to each other. I also like the messy consequences of those kinds of interactions. Some of the specific tags for this exchange specify certain kinds of sexual activity, but otherwise I just appreciate it when it adds to the story. You can be as explicit or light-handed as you like.

For these prompts, I would be very happy to receive canon-divergent AUs where either Ward turned back from the precipice of betraying the Team at the end of S1, perhaps in part because of marrying Skye, or something that deals with a Ward redemption later in the story. I would also be open to receiving slight setting-shift AUs where they're in another kind of procedural drama universe that's similar but not Marvel if that floats your boat, especially with the 'serial killer' tag.

- Skye and Ward accidentally get married. Either they got drunk and had a heart to heart and did the whole thing, or they were tricked into it for some reason. They try to keep it a secret from the Team. Ward tries to keep it a secret from Hydra. Alternatively, if it is after Ward is estranged from the group, it could be less silly and more dark with them having mutual blackmail material over the other.

- An alternate series-ending endgame for Skye | Daisy with the time travel prompts where she can be with Ward after saving him from himself in those earlier days or doing something that has a ripple effect. I would like for Ward to have to take some responsibility and do some atoning, too. I want him to work for it, but I want him to have help.

- Skye and Ward are enemies, but they share a greater enemy and are all the other has. This leads to some kind of necessity for marriage to stay together long enough to survive.

I would love something that took advantage of how late 90s/early 00s this is, but I would not like DADT fic, please. Personally, I don't think Jack would angst over this that much given the fact that their canonical platonic affection on-base doesn't cause many raised eyebrows. Dealing with some internalized homophobia is fine, good even, but I would prefer it not be the entire focus of the fic.

- On an alien planet, Jack and Daniel get married accidentally and must face the consequences. They could be stuck there for quite some time, or they have to maintain a diplomatic relationship that is a little fragile and are afraid to let the alien culture know about the mistake too soon. By the time they might, they kind of don't mind their vacations into marriage.

- An angsty fic about any of these themes with a happy-ish ending. Arguing with each other about their differences, dealing with the grief of lost loved ones/partners, and finding love in each other.

- They intentionally get married or fake it on an alien planet. This could be a unilateral decision or something they come to together. They do this to protect the other or to mutually protect each other, which itself is a show of protection, love, and devotion.

You may have noticed above that I really like redemption/atonement stories rather than stories that go "the villain never did anything wrong uwu." I want the antagonist half of an enemies-to-lovers ship to need to work for it, because it's sure as hell true that the protagonist half does have to carry a lot. That being said, I do totally get some elements of "Magneto Was Right" from Aleksander, and I am game for some kind of mutual persuasion such that he can come to the conclusion that it is possible to find peace with ordinary humans while still carving out a future for Grisha. Please note that I have not read the books and only know some things about that version of canon from osmosis or wikis.

- For the Dimension Travel prompt, I would like to see a case where they accidentally do a thing or Alina does a thing to protect everyone else from Aleksander and they are then the only familiar thing the other knows. You could bend this to be 'time travel,' too such that they create some kind of paradoxical solution to past wrongs but can't go back to where they came from. Or it could just leave the resolution in the other characters' hands while Alina and Aleksander have their own, new dimension to deal with.

- Obviously, I am very into the idea of them being forced into marriage or Aleksander forcing Alina's hand. Alternatively, you could twist it to be that for some reason Alina forces Aleksander or manipulates him into it after they are estranged. Or, they could have gotten married in a fever as it were before Alina found out who he was or that he had any intentions he was being dishonest about. Please draw freely from the related tags for other tropes I'd like to see in a fic like this. There is the opportunity here for a fantasy WWI area Gone Girl AU if you wanna go there. For the "painful ritual" tag, I was thinking that maybe Aleksander goes through something painful for her that he doesn't actively use to try and manipulate her, showing that he has genuine feelings and desire for her even if they're twisted.

- Presuming that what Aleksander said about Alina being effectively immortal is true, I would be interested to see a fic that is post-canon canon-divergence or whatever would be necessary for this to happen: Basically, Alina chose Mal and they were married and did whatever but then Mal grew old and died. In the meantime, Aleksander has had to deal with being defeated/his plans thwarted or severely handicapped and figure out who he is after all that time. Then, at some point, he and Alina find their way back to each other and find comfort that way.

I'm gonna admit that I was initially set against Mal because of some of the isolated quotes I had read from the books where he seemed to be really condescending to Alina about her choices. So far, show!Mal is not like that, and I think he's a good egg shounen protagonist. I think they have a sweet chemistry, and I would like to see some bittersweet fic that sort of helps them get over that awkward gulf of "she was always pining but he viewed her as only a friend."

- I really like survival tropes, so seeing how they get along on the run and how it helps them bond would be welcome. Maybe they have to get married in order to appease an intolerant society that won't let them stay in the same room unless they are. Maybe they say secret vows to each other they consider binding and consummate their marriage under the stars, or whatever.

- Justify it however you want to, but if Alina and Aleksander consummated their attraction to each other before Alina learned what Aleksander intended and she fell pregnant, I would love to see them dealing with the angst of that as long as Mal is not terribly awful about it. I don't get the feeling show Mal would be, though it's fine if he's a bit uncomfortable or angry (at Aleksander primarily) for a bit.

Please note that below I have also requested the OT3 version of this, so if you wanted to fold in elements of that being in the future you could, but if you hate the idea, feel free to ignore.

- If Alina is immortal and Mal is not, a bittersweet fic that involves something where Mal is reaching the end of his life but they are still happy together until the end. They can have kids and stuff or not.

See the above descriptions for Mal/Alina and Alina/Aleksander comments. For this as a threesome, I am interested because I thought Mal and Aleksander had a very tense chemistry during their couple of confrontation scenes. I saw someone comment that they thought it was crazy to think that an immortal being like the Darkling would be inflexibly heterosexual, and I felt "you know, I agree." In these prompts, I have asked for stuff that is more in line with Aleksander's role as a villain, but I do prefer fics that give him some push toward atonement, redemption, and not being as self-centered in the name of a cause.

- Mal and Alina conspire for Alina to agree to go back into the Darkling's good graces and such so she can kill him when they are married and he has let his guard down. Things don't go according to plan.

- Aleksander is joking when he allows Mal to 'fight for' Alina, but he is impressed by Mal's resilience and bravery in spite of having the full capability to kill him if he doesn't underestimate him. This leads to a complication of the dynamic, and eventually the three of them are in a weird relationship which causes Aleksander to reassess his view of those who are not Grisha.

- Alina was forced to marry Aleksander, but he keeps Mal around as a tool to emotionally manipulate her. Eventually, Mal and Alina take their relationship further into a romantic and sexual one. Perhaps they believe it is secret, but Aleksander knows. Then he tries to use this to manipulate them, but he finds himself being moved, and the tables turn or level out a bit.

I haven't read the books S&B is based on, so I only know a little about their original backstories. I am in love with the portrayal on the show, but I have become aware of the fact that Kaz canonically has an aversion to touch. I would be very interested in seeing how this affects his desire for intimacy with Inej and to see the tension of that dealt with. I also think that Inej's background of having been prostituted against her will has a similar potential for them to both have trauma that they have to face together to be physically and sexually intimate. Even if you choose not to focus on sexual content, I would love a story that dealt with them learning to trust their own intimacy.

- They must pretend to be married for a job. It's supposed to be a quick thing, and maybe it even seems silly and eye-roll inducing at first, but they get in way over their heads in terms of their feelings and commitments to this ruse. They could need to consummate it or at least pretend to to make it believable. Maybe they are intimate impulsively after a lot of tension and then both regret it and must untangle the mess.

- They actually get married at some point a bit in the future for the purposes of sharing a business or some other financial pursuit. It turns into more than a practical arrangement, or they both want it to for a long time before it does.

- Kaz admitted to and for Inej that the Sun Summoner was real. I would really like a fic about his increased sensitivity to the importance of her faith to her. I love stories where cynical people get to have some of their cynicism thawed. I would also just like to see more about how this religion is practiced, what it means to Inej, and even if Kaz does not convert how his increased respect for her beliefs makes her happy.
