I do like sex pollen or aliens/magic made them do it tropes if the characters are already attracted to each other and they deal with the consequences or aftermath of the dubcon aspect of that, if it suits your story.
Haikyuu has been my smile-til-it-hurts fandom of the past year. I am interested in canon-divergent AUs that make my requested ship canon, but I would also be interested in a few different types of AU/fusion because they lend themselves to it as characters so well. These are totally optional but listed in case one strikes your fancy.
I love everything about their dynamic and how it isn't perfect but that they quickly go from "enemies" or "rivals" to best friends who retain a sense of rivalry. I would love any fic that had them suddenly crossing a line into UST/more-than-friends territory and figuring out what in the world to do with it. If you want to go the more explicit route, would rather it be when they're basically finished with high school/18, but it could be any sort of scenario from T to E in rating. Slice of life and pining and relationship/character development are what I'm excited for here. Can't get enough between them.
Alternatively, if you wanted to do an AU/fusion: I requested Wheel of Time below and between that and the Haikyuu RPG art that the author did I can't get it out of my head that I would like for them to meet in a fantasy world, be it sort of western/generic/all-cultures-melded fantasy or something that went more with an accurate Japanese historical flavor. If you wanted to do literally a Wheel of Time crossover it could be sort of the angst that the male half of magic is cursed but that they have a sort of Channeler/Unofficial Warder dynamic, or you could draw inspiration from literally any other fantasy trope or story.
I have not read any of the books, but I have finished Season 1 of the show and loved it a lot. I love the concept that this same story or some version of it is going to happen again. I also love the connection between all of the main five from the Two Rivers. Moiraine and Lan are just really cool, too.
I love how their attraction to each other seemed subtle or, at least, not explicitly dynamic and that it seemed to build speed and warmth over time. It really gives the sense that it isn't so much hyper-lust as it is mutual respect and shared understanding that draws them to each other. Still, they don't seem to think they can build anything or stay together. If you wanted to just give me more soft or spicy moments between them, I would love that, or I would love a reunion fic.
I went back and forth on picking this several times because I am in love with the intimate-platonic relationship that Moiraine and Lan have in canon. That said, I am very interested in what this dynamic could be, whether it was fully romantic with Moiraine or not. I know that Nynaeve felt concerned that Lan belonged too much to Moiraine to be hers, and that's beautifully romantically painful in some ways. As romantic-or-not as you want Moiraine to be involved is fine, but I just want something that involves Moiraine and Nynaeve growing a more intimate trust between them with Lan being so intimately important to them both. Just really wanna see what anyone who'd pick this tag wants to do with it basically!
I love everything about how their relationship was presented and introduced. Siuan's flashback introduction was also so compelling. I would be happy with a hurt/comfort reunion fic, but I would also be super interested in a story about the development of their romantic relationship or their friendship before that when they were young girls and younger women. I would like to know what they experienced at the White Tower and what it was like for them to fall in love and then to accept paths that kept taking them apart and bringing them back together.
Boy oh boy did I love the fact that the actually-spooky barmaid mistook them for a couple. Like something straight out of fanfiction. I love how all the main group care about each other and have their destinies entwined, but I think that if Rand suddenly realized he had Caught Feelings for Mat that it would be a lot of angst or drama at first. Likewise, I think if Mat came to Rand as the only familiar thing in a bunch of bullshit he thinks his life has become that it could be really emotionally interesting. Messy emotional stuff is what I would like here. You may have Egwene not come up but if she does I am still fine with Rand being in love with her too and that adding to the angst or it not doing so.
I am just into the fact that they're all connected and important to the way the cosmology works in this universe. I enjoyed how they all bonded with each other and fought with each other. I would be interested in anything about the cycle of reincarnation or just their interactions over time. Confused emotional messiness where they all just realize how they can't not love each other. Whatever you wanted to do when you picked this tag!
For this fandom, I don't care about the name order but I would prefer the Japanese name for Jounouchi be used. I am as familiar with the Abridged Series as I am the canon, though I have spent quite a bit of time with the manga this year. I would prefer something that took itself a little seriously but some self-aware silliness is also good.
I love the tension between them that seems to be a kind of mutual loathing but that, if you picked this tag, we agree is not. I think the parallels between their lives are really interesting and the fact that Kaiba could've been in Jounouchi's situation: not being able to be around Mokuba much, broke without prospects, etc. to be a root part of that tension, whether they're aware of it or not. I also think that there is a sense that Jounouchi wants Kaiba to be a better version of himself either for Mokuba or because he's seen glimpses of it. I would love any fic that put them in a scenario where they have a shut-up kiss-or-more and have to figure out what it means, or I would love anything that forced them to cooperate in a serious or survival situation.
